Dog rescue and re-homing in Dunstable, Bedfordshire

At Appledown Kennels, as well as providing boarding kennels, we are involved in rescuing and re-homing dogs.

Most of the dogs are brought in by the previous owners, so we are able to gather a lot of information about the dog's behaviour and temperament to help you make a more informed decision.

Get in touch with us today if you would like to know more about our dog rescue services. We also have puppies for sale, but they are only re-homed with families who have children below 7 years old. House checks are required for all applicants before placement.

Information about our dog rescue and re-homing:

  • Successfully re-home 400-500 dogs a year
  • Take in strays for the South Beds District Council
  • Re-home puppies
  • Most dogs brought in by previous owner
  • We do not re-home dogs who show aggression
  • House check required for all applicants

No appointment is needed, so just come along to see whether we have the right dog for you. A collection and delivery service is also available.
